The Spirit of the Jersey
Gaelic Football is a cornerstone of the sporting and cultural fabric here at Davitt College.
We provide hundreds of students each year with the opportunity to don the school jersey, represent their community, and compete at the highest levels of post-primary football.
Our competitive pedigree is elite, having captured 13 Mayo County Post-Primary Championships and 15 Connacht Provincial Titles. Our teams have consistently punched above their weight, battling their way to 9 separate All-Ireland National Finals.
Proving Ground
Davitt College has nurtured legendary talent, including All-Star Alan Dillon, Mayo All-Ireland Senior Champions Colm Lynch and Diarmuid O’Connor, and TG4 All-Star Danielle Caldwell.
Our programme succeeds because of the massive dedication of our volunteer coaching staff, who push our players to excel not just as athletes, but as leaders, teammates, and ambassadors for our school community.

Whether you’ve been playing with your local club since academy level or want to try the sport for the first time, there is a panel for you. Championship panels are selected at the start of the academic year, but training is open to all students looking to develop their fitness and skills.
