Davitt College Castlebar has record number of projects in BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition
An Taoiseach Mr. Enda Kenny, T.D., met with Davitt College, Castlebar students Jack McEllin, Conor Reilly and Sean Murphy to discuss their BT Young Scientist project ‘The World at your Fingertips’ at the 2013 BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in the R.D.S., Dublin. Their project involved the design and construction of a Robotic Glove which can be used instead of a mouse on a computer and has great potential to be further developed in the Music and Physiotherapy sectors.

The Transition Year students were just one of an impressive four groups representing Davitt College in this prestigious competition. They are accompanied by their Science teacher Mr. Aaron Tonry.
Davitt College, Castlebar First Year student Andrey Connolly is congratulated by An Taoiseach Mr. Enda Kenny, T.D. on his inspiring project ‘How Board Games can Help Autism’. His project included designing and testing a board game specifically designed for children with autism.
