The TY Times is Davitt College’s Transition Year newspaper — written by students and published once per term. It captures the life of TY in real time, showcasing student voice, creativity and the huge range of activities that TY students take part in throughout the year.
Produced by Transition Year students and edited by Mr. Gallagher and Ms. Gallagher, the TY Times highlights the events, trips, guest speakers, school initiatives and projects that shape each term. It is a record of TY life — and a celebration of student involvement across the school community.
Each edition features a mix of:
- TY events and activities from the term
- Student articles, interviews and opinion pieces
- Photo highlights and reports from trips and projects
- Creative writing, reviews and features
- Updates on whole-school events where TY students play a key role
