First Year & Special Class

For incoming First Year mainstream students and Special Class (ASD) applicants. Access the online submission form or download printable document versions below.

Years 2 Through 6

Mainstream Transfer Applications

For transfer applications to Second, Third, Fourth (TY), Fifth, or Sixth Year groups. Online transfer applications open on 7 May 2026.

Canteen & School Meals

Our modern school canteen operates daily during morning break and lunchtime. Operating as part of the national School Meals Scheme, nutritious snacks and hot lunches are provided completely free of charge to all students.

Uniform & Gear

School & PE Uniforms

Official crested garments and full uniform sets are available through our certified local outfitters: Fahey's Store (Main Street, Castlebar) and Toymaster Ballina via their secure online portal.

Transition

Supporting Student Transition

Moving to secondary school is a major milestone. Led by our Home School Community Liaison (HSCL), Ms. Andrea Silke-O'Connor, we run comprehensive induction events and can organize tailored orientation visits for students needing extra reassurance.

Assessments

Are there entrance examinations?

Admission decisions are strictly governed by our published Admission Policy rather than pre-enrolment tests. Following formal enrolment, standard baseline diagnostic assessments in literacy and numeracy are carried out solely to support individual learning plans.

Appeals

Appeals & Statutory Reviews

Any decision regarding an application refusal can be formally reviewed by the Board of Management within 21 days. Formal statutory appeals may subsequently be directed through official Department of Education channels.
