Soccer stands as a major pillar of athletic development and student life here at Davitt College.
We field highly competitive squads across all traditional age groups, giving hundreds of students the opportunity to wear the school kit and test themselves against the finest teams in post-primary football.
Our competitive pedigree is proven, most recently underscored by our 2024 U14 Girls Connacht FAI Championship victory. Our squads have proven to be lethal operators in high-octane formats, capturing crucial titles and storming their way to national stages, including a spectacular All-Ireland 1st Year Futsal Grand Final appearance.
Individual Honours
Our pathway for talent includes Emma Duffy (ROI Underage Squads 2022–2024), Kirsty Kelly (Irish Futsal Squad 2017), and Fintan Borotto (ROI U19 Squad 2016).
Our success belongs entirely to the incredible commitment of our volunteer coaching staff, who continuously push our players to develop not just as clinical athletes, but as resilient leaders and outstanding ambassadors for the wider school community.

Pathway: Foundations in technical ball mastery and positional discipline within the Davitt College soccer philosophy.
U15
Pathway: Building competitive match fitness through rigorous regional group stages and knockout cup campaigns.
U16 / U17
Pathway: Mastering tactical shape, high-tempo transitions, and game intelligence for deep Cup runs.
U19 / U20
Pathway: Elite competitive execution, specialised tactical roles, and representing the College at the highest provincial and national level.
