Learner Profiles

Who Are These Programmes For?

A Natural Progression from Junior Cycle

The Level 1 and Level 2 Senior Cycle Learning Programmes are designed as direct follow-on pathways for students who have engaged with Level 1 (L1LP) or Level 2 (L2LP) Learning Programmes during their Junior Cycle, ensuring continuous, tailored educational growth.

🧭
L1LP Pathway

Level 1 Pathway

Carefully tailored for students who have complex, multiple learning needs and experience delayed development in communication, language, and adaptive skills. These students require targeted support with basic numeracy, communication, and essential social skills.

🗺️
L2LP Pathway

Level 2 Pathway

Designed for students whose unique learning profile means they are best supported outside of traditional Leaving Certificate Established (LCE) or Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) structures. These students are typically identified at the ‘Support for Few’ stage of the Continuum of Support framework.
