■ The Story
Welcome to Rydell High, 1959. After a whirlwind summer romance, leather-clad greaser Danny Zuko and girl-next-door Sandy Dumbrowski are unexpectedly reunited when she transfers to his school. Navigating the treacherous waters of teenage cliques—the rebellious T-Birds and the sassy Pink Ladies—Danny and Sandy must figure out if their summer nights can survive the pressures of high school. Packed with explosive rock-and-roll anthems, Grease remains the undisputed word in musical theatre.
■ The Production
November 2022 was about more than just putting on a show; it was our triumphant return to the stage. As the first Davitt College production since the COVID-19 pandemic, Grease brought an unprecedented wave of energy, relief, and joy back into our school community. The students poured their hearts into every dance break, but the absolute showstopper of the year was the life-size, custom-built “Greased Lightnin’” hot rod, engineered entirely by our incredible set design and woodwork teams. It wasn’t just a musical; it was a celebration of being back together.
