1st Year GAA Blitz: Fantastic Day of Football at Castlebar Mitchels Astro

Last Tuesday, our newest players took to the field for a brilliant day of action as we hosted a 1st Year GAA 11-a-side Blitz on the fantastic astro pitches at Castlebar Mitchels GAA.
The tournament brought together a highly competitive mix of talent, with six secondary schools participating in the event:
- ✅ Davitt College
- ✅ St. Patrick’s College, Foxford
- ✅ Scoil Muire agus Pádraig, Swinford
- ✅ Coláiste Muire, Tourmakeady
- ✅ Gairmscoil Chormaic, Lacken Cross
- ✅ Coláiste Pobail Acla, Achill
The focus of the blitz was entirely on player development, skill refinement, and game time, ensuring plenty of high-quality football was played by everyone who toggled out.
